OnyxRecover discussed with Compute Scotland

Onyx Group’s director of infrastructure Hugh Gillen talks to Compute Scotland, a core IT trade publication about Cloud & managed services, OnyxRecover & using technology to improve resilience for businesses and also touches on data back-up for mobile phone contracts.

With a case from OneSearch Direct, Hugh discusses the scenarios in which without disaster recovery businesses have suffered serious repercussions. From the impact of the Buncefield explosion; flooding in Cumbria and when the heaviest snow in decades hit Edinburgh. The case study focuses on an Onyx client, unable to get to his remote home office due to severe fire damage, OneSearch direct invoked their disaster recovery plan and were relocated to the more accessible Onyx Group disaster recovery centre, where they were able to be back up and running by end of play that day.
